		<description>Those incidents, and so many others are just absolutely awful. Hard times do breed desperation and I agree cause some people to *snap* in unexpected ways hurting not only others but themselves too. Like the lady who committed suicide because her house was facing foreclosure but only after sending a letter to the mortgage company to let them know it :o(

I read the news several times a day. I have many friends who refuse to and think I'm a glutton for punishment. But to me, knowing what is going on around my city and the rest of the world is a necessity. I can't explain it, other then that I need to know in case there is ever something I can do to help or learn from. And every now and then there's some good news too. Then it's great to be inspired.

To me, being safe now means having a little more patience with people. Especially in your car. Road rage seems to be making a resurgence. Taking it slow and easy, I hope, keeps me safer on the road.</description>
