Out of interest I went and test drove a Prius a while back and was super impressed. Seems to me there's no good reason why hybrids shouldn't make up the majority of cars sold within say 5years. Granted I know nothing about the economics of car manufacturing, but the ride/handling were so good that I can't see any reason not to go hybrid for the next new car purchase. Perhaps the only thing in the way of wide spread adoption is hybrid options across the range of vehicle types(?). That’s cool.
