5 Things You May Not Know About Me
Narendra tagged me in a silly game of Blog-Tag started by Jeff Jarvis to share five things about yourself others may not know.
Here goes:
- I was voted class optimist my senior year in high school. I should try and dig up the yearbook photo.
- I applied to 9 colleges and was rejected or wait-listed by most, including my ’safeties.’ The only college I was formally accepted by was the University of Pennsylvania. I graduated with a 2.98 gpa with a major in International Relations and a minor in English. (The 2.98 was pretty good considering I was a straight-C student my freshman year ;)
- I worked for a year in Bangladesh with International Development Exchange working on village-level microfunding initiatives. It was the hardest year of my life.
- Snowboarding and skiing are life-long passions of mine. I love to shralp it up on the slopes or in the back-country. In the summer I really enjoy hiking and camping, though I usually take a pass on camping in the winter.
- I consider myself a rational idealist. I aspire for personal and global idealism, but I accept the reality of our lives.
And now for the tag part: Michael Parekh, Thomas Madsen-Mygdal, Allen Stern, Schlomo and Molly
