SF General Hospital is hoping a add a Trauma Center which could airlift in drastically hurt people from a large area. In college there was a Trauma Center at the hospital and each time a helicopter flew in you knew some very hurt person’s life was int he balance. I recall seeing the helicopters, but not hearing them.
In my neighborhood there has been a flyer campaign to block the Trauma Center due to the noise the helicopters would create. The hospital is on the very far side of this neighborhood, on the other side of a 6 lane freeway. We live in a city not for quiet, we live here for the vibrancy and possibilities. If you want quiet move to the suburbs. If you want world-class services and culture live in the city. If you want pristine home values, don’t buy in a city. Considering home values in the hood have increased 10x in the last 30 years (literally it makes me all the more uncomfortable.) If you can pay $850k for a two bedroom 1 bath, you really shouldn’t have money problems.
So I had to laugh when I saw another resident chose to share their similar feeling.

Both a very similar style spoofs of the flyer campaign items. So close you could walk by and notice they are completely chastising the original campaign.
