Meet The Vloggers: Me

I walk around with a 2Mp camera with decent focus, flash and audio pick-up. Well actually the audio is pretty crappy.

A couple days ago I started a Mobile Video Blog (a MoViBlog I believe). I am asking people a simple question open-ended question: are things getting better or are things getting worse.

Here’s Will Pate succintly answering my question:

quality=”high” width=”320″ height=”256″ name=”movie” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” pluginspage=”http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer”>

My camera only records about 10 seconds at once so I can guarentee they are short and to the point. I am able to email the video straight form my phone to a blogging service and it’s immediately online. No cables, no editing, no nuthin.

The video blog can be viewed at TEDR.BLIP.TV, and I’ve also added a widget to the lower right nav of my blog for direct access. Check it out, it’s down below.

This has been really easy to do thanks to some amazing wonders of 2006. Here’s what I use.
1) Sony Erricoson w800i phone. Any phone w/ decent video and outgoing email will do
2) Blip.tv offers free video uploading, streaming and storage w/ all types of nifty tools and features (like the email upload and the badge for my blog)
3) FireAnt is great software to orgniaze and view serialized and synidacated video content (aka vlogs).

Notes:
>If you have any camera w/ video functionality, you can just offload that video to your computer and just upload from there.
>By skiiping editing my videos I save tons of time, but there dearth of editing software gives you tons of options to make really wonderufl things happen when your video.
