I’m deeply honored that Sam Lowry has allowed me to rehost the February 2000 meme that went around the world, BlowTheDotOutYourAss. BlowTheDot’s message was simple: just because your dotcom got VC funding doesn’t mean what you are doing is needed, realistic or worthwhile. Or more bluntly, “Attention dotcom bullshitters. Cut the crap. You’re ruining it for all of us.” This was my particularly favorite way of saying that.

Sam’s decided to get the meme back up because the greedheads and the me-twos are starting to rear their business-plans again. Even Blow The Dot got a healthy serving of it recently. The domain blowthedotoutyourass.com was scooped up buy a bottomfeeder that buys expired domains by the hundreds. This particular jerkass stated buying back the domain will cost at least $25,000. Sam simply bought the .org flavor and the Snark1.0 message is back on track.

For the fun of it I came up with some new ones for 2006.
